In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Robertson family. Jerry's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall their be anymore pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. Jerry Ray Robertson.

Jerry Ray Robertson was born December 4, 1960 to the Late LeAndrew Robertson, and the Late Elizabeth Robertson. He departed this life September 4, 2017.

Jerry was educated through the Little Rock School District. He joined the United States Navy 1980, and was honorably discharged 1984. He was employed for 14 years as a law enforcement officer at the Arkansas State Mental Hospital, until he health failed. Jerry enjoyed watching Arkansas Razorback football games with his brother Andrew. He especially enjoyed spending time with his only grandchild Jaydrien. He was a family man who sincerely loved his daughter Cecley, his siblings, nieces and nephews.

Jerry accepted Christ in 1970 and was baptized by the Late H.A. Bates at Second Baptist Church in Little Rock. He later joined Mercy Seat Baptist Church, under Dr. James Thrower.

He is preceded in death by his brother Nathaniel Robertson, his father LeAndrew Robertson, his mother Elizabeth Robertson, and his grandparents Nathaniel and Rosie Hubbard.

Jerry leaves to cherish his loving memory, his daughter, Cecley Robertson of Little Rock, AR; grandson, Jaydrien of Little Rock, AR; brother, Andrew (Kathy) Robertson of Fort Smith, AR; 2 sisters, Barbara Gamble-French of Los Angeles, CA and Evelyn Robertson of Little Rock, AR; 9 nieces and nephews; 14 great nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Celebration of life service will be held, Saturday, September 16, 2017, 2:30pm at Mercy Seat Baptist Church, 8715 Oman Rd., Little Rock.
