In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Anderson family. Helen's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall their be anymore pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mother Helen Louise Anderson.

Helen Louise Piggee Anderson was born May 6, 1949 to Addison Norris Piggee and Annie Mack Smith Piggee in Conway, Arkansas. Helen was educated at Pine Street High School. She was part of the graduating class of 1967, which was the last graduating class of the historically black high school.



As a young girl, Helen accepted Christ as her savior at Union Baptist Church in Conway, Arkansas. She later became a member of Christ Temple Holiness also located in Conway. Helen was employed with the Conway Human Development Center for over 30 years and retired in October of 2010. After retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, traveling, bowling, shopping, crafting, exercise, decorating, cooking, spending time at the Conway Senior Center, and going out with her girlfriends. Helen was a joy to all that knew her. Her smile, her earrings, and her energy could light up any room.



Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Addison and Annie, one sister Bettie Sue Richard, and one grandson, Kenny Diaz.


Helen leaves to cherish her loving memory, four children, Erica Anderson of Jacksonville, Florida; Samern (Caleb) Turner of Little Rock, Arkansas, Reginald Prevoe of Conway, Arkansas and RoShawnda (Allen) Killingsworth of Rockwall, Texas; six grandchildren, Makenzie Anderson, Oscar Buchanan III, Zoey Turner, Keira Turner, Levi Killingsworth, and Alayna Killingsworth; two sisters, Addie Hart of Little Rock, Arkansas, Alice (Bill) Jackson of Fort Worth, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.


Public viewing will be held Friday, November 2, 2018 from 4:00pm - 7:00pm at Veasley Funeral Home.


Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, November 3, 2018, 11:00am at Christ Temple Holiness Church of Christ Holiness, USA, 868 Willow St. Conway, AR 72032.


Committal service and final resting place will be held at Salem Cemetery, Conway, AR.
