In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Sales family. La Vada's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Home. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall their be anymore pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mother La Vada Sales.

Le Vada Sales, 73, of Conway, Arkansas was born on November 25, 1945 to Ollie and Arthur Lee Whitney in St. Louis, Missouri. She attended the KinLoch school district in KinLoch, Missouri. She met and married Joel Mills and gave her life to Christ at an early age at Devotional Missionary Baptist Church in KinLoch, Missouri. She then moved to Conway, Arkansas where she joined and was a loyal member of True Holiness Saints Center under the leadership of Pastor E.C. Maltbia. She LOVED her pastor. She had many accomplishments and to name a few, she received a diploma from Delta Career College, many certificates for becoming a Nursing Assistant and Office Assistant. She worked for Aero Motors where she retired after 20 years of service. She also loved to write poems.
Le Vada was proceeded in death by her mother, Ollie; father, Arthur Lee; six siblings; four brothers and two sisters.
Le Vada leaves to cherish her loving memory, five children, Carlus (Darron) Williams of Conway, Arkansas, Craig Mills of St. Louis, Missouri, Sandra (James) Sykes of Conway, Arkansas, Deric Mills of St. Louis, Missouri, George McClain, III of Conway, Arkansas; sixteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Elizabeth Whitney, Augusta (Melvin) Mathis and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Family and friends visitation will be held Friday, June 7, 2019 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at True Holiness Saints Center, Conway.
Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, June 8, 2019, 10:00am at True Holiness Saints Center, 198 Hwy 286 East, Conway, Arkansas 72032.
