Kalvin Lewis Edwards was born on January 25, 1964 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to the late George and Claudette (Paschall) Edwards. He is also preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.

At an early age, Kalvin accepted Christ as his Savoir and was baptized at Allen Temple Baptist Church in Oakland, California. In his early childhood education, he attended the Oakland Public Schools. The family moved to Fort Smith, Arkansas and Kalvin finished his education and graduated from Northside High School in 1983. With his identical twin brother, Kevin, they became known as the “flipping twins” while attending Northside.

Kalvin was an awesome son, brother, uncle, father, and friend to all and he would aid and support you in any given situation. He truly loved and cared for his family and hid friends. He will always be remembered for that bright smile he flashed often. He had a love for soap-operas, his favorite, The Young & The Restless. You could not call him while he they were on, because he would not answer the phone or he would let you know that he would call you later.

As identical twins, Kalvin and Kevin, were invincible; they were powerful together. They would know what the other one was thinking, even when one was going to the store or over to Patricia’s (their sister) house to eat.

Kalvin leaves to cherish memories a son, Kalvin Edwards, Jr of Fort Smith, Arkansas; a daughter, Kayla Edwards of Antioch, California; three grandchildren, Ja’Kya Jordan and Sariah Edwards both of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Myah Vineyard of Antioch, California; two brothers, Willard (Chris) Paschall of Las Vegas, Nevada and Kevin Edwards of Fort Smith, Arkansas; three sisters, Georgann Duckette of San Lorenzo, California, Patricia (Edward) Buchanan, and Teresa Edwards both of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives, and loving friends

Celebration of life service will be held Saturday July 20, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Rowell-Parish Mortuary 611 North 9th Street Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901.
