Micheal Anthony Williams, “Gator”, the first of six children of Leona and the late Sterling Williams, Sr., was born on Thursday, June 13, 1957 in Limestone, Maine. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Anthony Williams.

Micheal’s family moved to Fort Smith, Arkansas from San Bernardino, California while he was in junior high school. Upon arriving in Fort Smith, Mike was enrolled in Kimmons Junior High. He graduated with class of 1975 from the Northside High School.

Micheal was a Vietnam era Veteran, where he served as a Ground Operator Specialist and Aircraft Maintenance Specialist. His post career included employment with Whirlpool, Air Care, and JK Services.

In 1978 he married the love of his life, Linda Greene. From this beautiful union, three children were born; Nicholas, Shosahana, and Destiny.

Micheal was a straightforward person. He did not meet a stranger and he was extremely family oriented. He was a man’s man, he truly believed he was the protector of his family. He loved Christmas and his dogs; Queenie, Buster, and Cisco. Most of all, he LOVED his grandchildren.

Micheal had a love for keeping his car clean, and fishing. He was also an avid Arkansas Razorback fan. He was a basketball coach for the middle school boys and girls.

Additionally, Micheal loved music and was DJ for JTM and Sound Express. If you needed music or a movie, Mike was the one to call.

Micheal was an inspiration to everyone. He accepted the news of his illness in stride and said, “I’m not worried about that, I have things to do”. He lived life the best way he knew how; being an honest man with integrity.

Micheal leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Linda Williams of Fort Smith Arkansas; three children, Nicholas (Becka) Greene of Van Buren, Arkansas, Shoshana Williams of Springdale, Arkansas and Destiny of Fort Smith, Arkansas; 11 grandchildren, Tiree Freeman, O’Shea Jones, Deonte Jones, Ashton Thomas, Ashantie Thomas, Aniyah Greene, Tyrone (TJ) Thomas, Ayden Greene, Demetrius Haskins, Ay’n Greene and A’riah Greene; his mother, Leona Williams of Fayetteville, North Carolina; two brothers, Sterling Williams, Jr. of Orlando, Florida and Carlo (Stephanie) Williams of Barling, Arkansas, and two sisters, Bonita (Rick) Riddley, Sr., of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Linda (Donnell) of Powder Springs, Georgia, and a host of other family members and friends.
