Yvonne Evans

Yvonne Evans, 80, was born February 17, 1936 to the late Alma Brown and Robert Johnson in Bond, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her husband Matthew Evans, sons: Dennis and Marcus Evans, sister: Rushell Guinn, and brothers: Herman Brown and Perry Fairly, Sr.

She departed this life Thursday, August 18, 2016 in Fort Smith, AR. Her memory will forever live in the hearts and minds of us who knew her best. Her daughter, Minnie Marshall of Fort Smith, AR; her sons: Roosevelt Evans, Sylvester Evans, Ben (Dorothy) Evans, and Bryan Evans all of Fort Smith, AR, and Jimmy Evans of Jefferson, LA; her only surviving brother, Peter (Voncile) Brown of Maxie, MS; one sister-in-law, Bonnie Johnson and one brother-in-law, Ernest (Jessie) Evans both of Wiggins, MS; grandchildren, Bonita Marshall of Humble, TX, Sasha Evans of Gulfport, MS, Patricia Pryer, Paulette Pryer, and Jermaine Pryer all of Fort Smith, AR; her Godsons, Wyatt and Darius Banks of New Orleans, LA; adopted children, George and Paulette Harris of Jefferson, LA; her neighbor and friends, Margaret Bell of Fort Smith, AR; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Graveside service will be Friday, August 26th, 9:00 a.m. at Washington Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her sons.
