Warner Mays, Jr.

Warner Mays, Jr., 64, of Fort Smith, died Thursday, August 11, 2016 in a Little Rock hospital. He was a graduate of the Northside High School Class of 1970, U.S. Army veteran, Cosmetologist, retired supervisor and LTE Tech for Wal-Mart.

Funeral will be Thursday, August 18, 2016, 10:30 a.m. at the St. James Missionary Baptist Church with burial at Fort Smith National Cemetery under the direction of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Youmans, Eddie and Danny Arnold, Ronnie Cravens, Sr., Michael Vann, Sr., and Vincent Mays.

Public viewing will be Wednesday, August 17th, 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia of the home; daughter, Natasha Youmans of Bella Vista; four sons: Warner Mays III of Hope, AR, Bryant Johnson of Atlanta, GA, Terrill Alston of Conway, AR, and Andrew Alston of Ft. Campbell, KY; six sisters: Ida Spears, Katherine Mays, Pearlie Elam and Bridgetta Shepherd all of Fort Smith, Callie Driver of Lawton, OK, and Fannie Booker of Van Buren; brother, Danny Mays of Fort Smith; 8 grandchildren.
