Kenneth's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall their be anymore pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. Kenneth Marvin Jones.

Kenneth Marvin Jones, 69, was born January 7, 1948. The Lord called him home on July 27, 2017. Kenneth was baptized at a young age at Sharon Missionary Baptist Church in Alexander, AR. Before his death Kenneth was a member of the Park Chapel Baptist Church in Palmyra, MO. As a young man Kenneth was a boy scout. Kenneth was a graduate of Bryant High School where he played football. He also attended Arkansas Baptist College. Kenneth was drafted into the Army in 1967 where he served and eventually received the rank of sergeant. While serving he received several honors including: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal, 1960 Device Medal, Infantry Man Badge (1st Award), Air Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart, 2 O/S Bars, and Sharp Shooter (M14) . Kenneth was also a member of the Teamsters Union and drove trucks for Arkansas Best Freight (ABF) for 19 years.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents Bernace (Ruthie) Jones and Mary Louise (Randolph) Grant. He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his wife Clara Dotson-Jones of Little Rock, AR; children, Kenneth Johnson of Detroit, MI, Tamidra (Reginald) Marable of Maumelle, AR, Ronald Dupree of Malvern, AR, Kendra (Maurice) Carlock of Little Rock, AR, Tiffany (Ronald) Whitehorn, Kenya (Robert) Howard, Kamiyah (Clifton) Matthews and Kamia Jones all of St. Louis MO, Krystal Jones of Little Rock, AR; special God son, Michael Washpun of Baytown, TX; thirteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his siblings, Philip (Julia) Jones of Alexander, AR, Patricia Jones of Alexander, AR, Kevin Jones of Little Rock, AR, Dale (Sandra) Jones of Memphis TN, LaTesia (Jovan) Quandt of Little Rock, AR, Barbara Hickmon of Little Rock, AR, Wayne Hickmon of Little Rock, AR, Joyce (John) Brown of Little Rock, AR; a very special cousin, Martha Jones; special friends, Tina Mundy, Angela Steed, Ella Gant, Betty Griffin, Odessa James and a host of other relatives and friends.

Celebration of life service will be held Friday, August 4, 2017, 11:00 AM at Greater Archview Baptist Church, 1720 W. 23rd Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72206.

Visitation will be held at Greater Archview Baptist Church one (1) hour prior to celebration of life service.

Committal service and final resting place will be held at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 W. Maryland Ave., Sherwood, Arkansas 72120 immediately following the celebration of life service.
