In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Delt family. Howard's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall their be anymore pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. Howard Delt.

God Giveth
Howard “H.D.” Augusta Delt, of Fort Coffee, Oklahoma was born on June 7, 1952 to Edward Lee Delt and Jennie J. (Chambers) Delt. He passed away on August 6, 2018, at Pocola Health and Rehab at the age of 66 years old surrounded by family. He loved the residence and staff members of Pocola Health and Rehab and they loved him equally. He never complained and exhibited utmost courage during his final months. Howard received his early education from Douglas and later was integrated to the Spiro School System where he graduated. He re-dedicated his life to Christ under Pastor Tashla Devrow. Howard held many job positions from Whirpool, Oil Rigs, Painter, Lawn Service, and Handy-man. He will be known for his greatest position as a brother and friend. Howard enjoyed reading and watching the news, watching western shows, and didn’t mind telling his family “I love you” and his funny quotes: Whole nine yards; Bump it; Skippy; Have Gun will travel; Am 7 x 3 plus some more; There is only one thing in life you can be and that is yourself, if you don’t understand that you don’t understand life.
God Taketh
Howard leaves to cherish his loving memory, his son, Antonio “Tony” Rogers; daughter-in-law, Jennifer; grandsons, Tyler, Devin, and Tony, Jr.; great grandchildren, Tylynn and Austin all of Ft Smith, AR; mother, Jennie Delt of Spiro, OK; his brothers, James Delt of Fort Coffee, OK and Curt (Shirley) Delt of Fort Smith, AR; his sisters, Barbara Clash of Fort Coffee, OK, Rosetta Delt of Murry Spur, OK, Kathrine Glymph of Desoto, TX, Tammy (Sedric) Fillmore of Mesquite, TX; 10 nephews; 3 nieces; 8 great nephews; 11 great nieces; special cousin, Charles Chambers and a host of other relatives and friends. Howard was preceded in death by his father Edward, brothers Roy and Julius “Jakie” Delt and sister Roberta Nelson.
God Promises
“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our LORD.” (Romans 8:38-39).
Public viewing will be held Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 9:00am to 10:00am at Mt. Triumph Missionary Baptist Church.
Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, August 11, 2018, 10:00am at Mt. Triumph Missionary Baptist Church, 15802 Fort Coffee Road, Spiro, Oklahoma 74959.
Committal service and final resting place will be held at Fort Coffee Cemetery, Fort Coffee, Oklahoma.
