In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Norman family. Aubrey's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall their be anymore pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mother Aubrey Jean Norman.

Aubrey Jean Norman was born December 1, 1952. She was the second of four children to the parents of Malcolm and Scottie Webb of Dumas, Arkansas. She professed Christ and was baptized at an early age. Aubrey graduated from Reed High School and attended AM&N college before relocating to Michigan.
Aubrey retired from the Waterford School System as an Administrator/Manager of the Workforce Development Program. After retirement, Aubrey relocated again, this time to Atlanta to assist her daughter, Terriah in the operations of her Daycare Center, which she totally enjoyed. It was at the homegoing celebration of her mother that she would reunite with longtime friend and classmate, Wendell. They knew God was pulling them together, but Aubrey lived in Atlanta, Georgia and Wendell lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Each one said this will never work, but God said differently. They married shortly after and Aubrey again had to relocate to Tulsa. Declaring that she would never move again, Wendell was promoted and was relocated to Fort Smith, Arkansas where they united with the St. James Missionary Baptist Church where she worked in various capacities. She was Chairperson of the Deaconess Board, she and Wendell taught the Singles Ministry Class, attended Sunday school and Bible study regularly. Aubrey loved working wherever there was a need.
Aubrey was diagnosed with cancer in 2013 and after a five-year struggle, she chase to forgo any further treatment and asked God to let her be in the comfort of her home with her husband by her side. On August 9, 2018 God granted that request. Aubrey was preceded in death by her mother, Scottie Webb and daughter, Terriah Woodard-Smith.
Aubrey leaves to cherish her loving memory, soul mate, Wendell Norman of Fort Smith, Arkansas; son Aaron Blue of Hot Springs, Arkansas; grandson, Cameron (Anastasia) Littrell of Little Rock, Arkansas; father, Malcolm Webb of Dumas, Arkansas; two sisters, Jackie Lee of Dumas, Arkansas, Karen (Walter) Holley of Hot Springs, Arkansas; one brother, Lawrence Webb of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, in-laws and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 17, 2018, 5-7pm at St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 4916 High St., Fort Smith, Arkansas 72904.
Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, August 18, 2018, 11:00am at St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 4916 High St., Fort Smith, Arkansas 72904.
Committal service and final resting place will be held Monday, August 20, 2018, 10:00am at the Fort Smith National Cemetery, 522 S. 6th St. Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901.
