In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Walls family. James' earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall their be anymore pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. James Walls.

James Allen Walls, Sr. was born on July 29, 1955 to Andrew and Norma Jean Walls in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by a brother, Calvin Walls; his grandparents, Steve and L.E. Walls, Jamsa Felix and Christine Comera.


James confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and recommitted his life to Christ in 1996. James was ordained to Pastorate and Ministry on January 22, 2006 at Pillar of Truth International, under the leadership of Pastors Curly and Malinda Scott. Brother Walls loved people, especially children. He had a heart for outreach ministry, such as the Halfway House, Jail and Prison ministry and Teen Challenge of Hot Springs.


James the loved the "Flea Market" business and during his set-ups, he ministered to many.


"Bro. James" as he was lovingly called, leaves to cherish his loving memory, wife, Phyllis Walls of Russellville, Arkansas; son, James A. Walls, Jr.; daughter, Ebony (Manuel) Thompson; grandsons, Kaden and Keon Thompson all of Russellville, Arkansas; parents, Andrew and Norma Jean Walls of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; brothers, Andrew (Carolyn) Walls, Jr. of Bogart, Georgia, Gregory Walls, Darrell (Dorraine) Walls of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; sisters, Terri Walls of Pine Bluff, Arkansas and Cherly Walls of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; mother in law, Doris Foster of Russellville, Arkansas; god son, Marquise Rhode; god daughter, Krystal Stelivan; three hang out buddies, Jerry Miller, Randy Moore, Vince Miller, and a host of brother in laws, sister in laws, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.


Public viewing will be held Friday, October 5, 2018 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at Veasley Funeral Home.


Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, October 6, 2018, 1:00pm at Westside Church of Christ, 2300 West C Street, Russellville, Arkansas 72801.


Committal service and final resting place will be held at Reed Cemetery, Russellville, Arkansas
