Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall their be anymore pain, for the former things are passed away." Barbara Lou Ward (Anderson) our beloved sister in Christ, age 74, of Little Rock, Arkansas, left our earthly arms for the arms of Jesus on February 10, 2019 at home surrounded by family. She was born on September 30, 1944 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Annie Anderson and Theodore Williams, Sr.
Barbara was a faithful member of Greater Macedonia Baptist Church, a Horace Mann alumni class of 1962 and a retiree from the Pulaski County Sheriffs Office.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Wilma Taylor; brothers, Robert Howard and Wesley Anderson; and grandson, Shaurun Joshua.
Mother Ward leaves to cherish her loving memory, devoted husband, Elijah Ward; sister, Edna Abraham; step-brother, Theodore Williams, Jr.; daughters, Javonda Scruggs, Rhenda (Lee) berry, Valary (Cleo) Nellum, Trayce (Wendell) Parker; step-daughter, Ramier Ward; step-sons, Nicky Ward, Antonio Strong; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
Homegoing Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, February 16, 2019, 11:00am at Greater Macedonia Baptist Church, 600 E 24th Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72206. Pastor Cleo Nellum, Sr., Officiating
Family and friends visitation will be held Friday, February 15, 2019, from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Greater Macedonia Baptist Church, Little Rock.
Committal service and final resting place will be held at Haven of Rest Cemetery, Little Rock, Arkansas.
