In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Hervey family. Bobbie's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall their be anymore pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Bobbie Hervey.

Sis. Bobbie J. Reese-Hervey began her life journey on November 10, 1949 in Morrilton AR. She was the second child born to the union of Lorine Palmer-Reese and the late Ulysses Reese Sr. She began her Christian walk with Christ at an early age, accepting Christ joining the Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Plumerville, AR under the leadership of the late Rev. F.R. Morris. Bobbie was educated at L.W. Sullivan High School and graduating from Morrilton School System in 1967. She was employed at Interstate (Morrilton Plastic) for many years. She was united in marriage to Charles Hervey Sr. They were blessed with three children, Derrick, Charles Jr. and LaShonda. She loved life and love to shop (especially in yard sales). She loved everyone and good food, but her heart was her family, especially being “Meme” to her grand and great grandchildren.

Bobbie was preceded in death by father Ulysses Reese Sr., two brothers, Ulysses Reese Jr. and Randy Reese, sister, Lora Ann Reese, nephew Alfred Gearod Brewer and her grandparents.

Bobbie will be forever be loved, missed and cherished by her sons, Derrick Hervey, Charles Hervey, Jr. and fiancé Sharon Clark all of Morrilton, Arkansas; daughter LaShonda Hervey and fiancé Billy Washington of Morrilton, Arkansas; siblings, Steven (Gail) Reese of Plumerville, Arkansas, Billy Irvin of Little Rock, Arkansas, Velma Wright of Morrilton, Arkansas, Lois Reese and Sharon Reese both of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two uncles, William Reese and Earnest C. Reese, Sr. both of Colorado; special sister, Norma Pannell of Tulsa, Oklahoma; special second mother, Ms. Georgia Brown of Morrilton, Arkansas; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren and a special and loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. She will be forever remembered and loved by many cousins, friends and especially her classmates of 1967.

Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, February 23, 2019, 1:00pm at Morrilton Christian Center, 1212 W. Childress St., Morrilton, Arkansas 72110.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 22, 2019, from 6-7pm at Bread of Heaven Deliverance Church, 317 N. St. Joseph St., Morrilton, Arkansas, 72110.

Committal service and final resting place will be held at Owens Cemetery, Morrilton, Arkansas.
