In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Jackson family. Brent's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall their be anymore pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. Brent Jackson.

Brent Caesar Jackson, (aka “Julio” & “Bren T”), 60, was born September 16, 1958 to the late Jeanetta Faye Knauls in Fort Smith, AR. Brent is also preceded in death by two of his sisters, Carlotta (Polly) and Mitzi Knauls.

He received his elementary and second are education from the Fort Smith Public School District. He enjoyed the song “Superstitious” by Stevie Wonder.

Over the years in his life, he developed an awesome skill of cooking, and his specialties were the best pancakes, pizza, barbeque, and German food. He was a cook at Hardscrabble Country Club and Emmy’s German Restaurant. Another one of skills was finding musical knickknacks that played “You are My Sunshine” for his daughter.

For a man who stuttered and could barely get out his words, he enjoyed talking smack, joking around, and making others laugh.

He is survived by his daughter, Ava Whitmore and granddaughter, Kristiana Watts both of Colorado Springs, CO; two step grandchildren, Madicyn and Seth Knott both of Corpus Christi, TX; three siblings, Harvey Knauls of Jacksonville, AR, Ava Bright of San Diego, CA, and Calvin Jackson of Fort Smith, AR and a host of many relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, March 15, 2019 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Rowell-Parish Mortuary 611 North 9th Street Fort Smith, AR 72901.

Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 11 a.m. at First Church of God in Christ.
