Brenda's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall their be anymore pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Brenda Thomas.

In Fort Smith, Arkansas on May 12, 1961 born to Mary Thomas and the late Louis Thomas, Jr. was a blessing, a precious baby girl named Brenda Joyce Thomas; affectionately known as “Bren”. Brenda is also preceded in death by her brothers, Dalton Roberts, Jr. and Francis Thomas, and her sister, Beulah Bryant.
Brenda was a graduate of the Fort Smith Public Schools, Northside High School Class of 1979. She entered the workforce at an early age, eventually after 30 years of service, she retired from OK Foods.
Brenda was the “life of the party”, and she loved to be surrounded by family and friends. Brenda is known for her beautiful personality and great sense of humor, and a smile that could brighten anyone’s day.
Brenda leaves to cherish her loving memories her spouse of ten years, Abel Lahera; her mother, Mary Thomas; twin sons, Shannon (Holly) and Shawn (Kacy) Thomas all of Fort Smith, Arkansas; two brothers, Clyde (Jennifer) Thomas of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Joseph (Dori) Roberts of Fort Worth, Texas; three sisters, Ruth (Bert) Delpozo, Sharon Thomas and Gay Gomez all of Fort Smith, Arkansas; twin grand-daughters, Zaria and Zeta of Van Buren, Arkansas, and a special niece, Tamecca Jackson of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and a host of nephews, nieces, many other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 29, 2019 from 6 pm to 7 pm at Rowell-Parish Mortuary 611 North 9th Street Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901.
Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, August 31, 2019 10 am at Laird Cemetery, Pocola, Oklahoma.
