In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Davis family. Annie's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mother Annie Lee Davis.

Mother Annie Lee Davis was born on September 8, 1922 to the late Charly and Lula (Fowler) Davis in Mayflower (Lollie), Arkansas. Annie departed this life on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at the age of 97. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at the age of 18. Her hobbies were reading, sewing, and gardening.

Annie worked at the Arkansas State Teacher’s College (currently UCA) as a cook. She worked several private domestic jobs, as well as owning her own cleaning service. She worked as a laundry attendant for Conway Convalescent Center and she was a caregiver. After retiring, she became affiliated with Foster Grandparents where she worked with the Head Start Program, Conway Human Development Center, Abundant Blessings Daycare, and the Greater Fellowship Christian Church Childcare Center. In 1992, at age 70, she helped establish the Greater Fellowship Worship Center. Under the leadership of Pastor Odie Phillips, Mother Davis has touched every aspect of the Greater Fellowship Christian Church. She has served as usher, choir member, women’s ministry, church growth committee, and Sunday School teacher. She remained a faithful member until a stroke on April 7, 2019.

Mother Annie leaves a legacy of love to her daughter, Lula (Travis) Davis Frost of Conway, Arkansas; two granddaughters, Jacquila (Jaye) Coleman, and Talia Sullivan of Grand Prairie, Texas; one great-grandson, Jerry R. Coleman, II; one brother, Lee Andrew Wright, Sr.; one nephew, Leo Morgan; two nieces, Carol Griffin and Rhonda Davis; two godchildren, Ruthie Walker and Betty Bunting; two special sons, JaMarion and JaMarcus Macon; many cousins and her beloved Greater Fellowship Christian Church Family.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2019 from 6:00pm - 7:00pm at Greater Fellowship Christian Church, 1 Wildwood Dr., Conway, Arkansas 72032.

Celebration of life service will be held Wednesday, November 6, 2019, 2:00pm at Greater Fellowship Christian Church, Conway, Arkansas.

Committal service and final resting place will be held at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, Conway, Arkansas.
