In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Evans family. Darius’ earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. Darius O’Neal Evans.

Darius O’Neal Raphael Evans affectionately known as "DD" was born August 18, 1996. He was the son of Angella Shells McCoy and Darrell O’Neal Evans. Darius departed this life on Saturday, February 1, 2020. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Darius received his formal education through the Little Rock School District. He later enrolled at Pulaski Technical College, in Little Rock, Arkansas, majoring in Video Graphic Design.

Darius had a heart of gold and loved everyone. He enjoyed skateboarding, drawing, listening to music and playing the guitar. He was a video gamer and “LOVED” Dragon Ball Z.

Darius is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ellis and Mary Louise Shells; Leroy and Mildred Lorraine Evans; Nathaniel Marshall.

Darius leaves to cherish his loving memories, his loving and devoted mother, Angella Shells McCoy of Little Rock, Arkansas; father, Darrell O’Neal Evans of Little Rock, Arkansas; great-grandmothers, Percilla Marshall and Cleo Zimmerman; grandparents Paul and Barbara Jackson; stepfather, Arthur McCoy of North Carolina; brothers, Gregory (Johmanda) Jones Jr., and Lee’Angelo (Brittany) Jones both of Little Rock, Arkansas; Michael McCoy and sister Myesha McCoy of Panama City, Florida; five nieces, Kelli Jones, Kaylee Jones, Kaisey jones, Keiress Jones, and Kynzleigh Jones, Halo McCoy, Heavenly Murphy; nephews, Gregory Ellis Jones Jr., Treshoungh Jones, Tyrone Jones; a host of aunt, uncles, relatives and friends.

Celebration of life service will be held Friday, February 7, 2020, 11:00am at First Baptist Church, 901 Calhoun St., Little Rock, Arkansas 72202.

Committal service and final resting place will be held at Rest In Peace Memorial Gardens, Hensley, Arkansas.
