In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the White family. David’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. David Lee White.

David Lee White, aka “Ronnie Bobo”, was born to the late Horace White and Lula Ellingberg in Paris Arkansas on April 11, 1953. He is also preceded in death by a brother, Junebug Armstrong, and a sister, Lorriane “Pat” Booker.
David moved to New Mexico, where he was a straight “A” student and a star athlete. He soon moved back home and attended Spiro High School. He was the valedictorian of his high school class. He was a very political man. He staged a walkout for the injustice that was rising in our Country. After graduation, he attended Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton, Oklahoma.
David joined the Air Force on July 31, 1973 and became a Lieutenant, which was hard at that time, especially being an intelligent black man. Even though he was intelligent, he had the will power to be successful. He served during the Vietnam War (August 1, 1973 to September 1, 1974). He was honorably discharged from the Air Force on September 18, 1977.
After serving his Country, he moved to Fort Smith, Arkansas where he was loved by many. He was a very caring man; he would do a lot for his family and friends. He was also noted for being in a smooth immaculate suit and driving a clean car, of which he had many. He had a heart of gold and he will be greatly missed by those who loved him dearly.
David leaves to cherish his loving memories his wife, Brenda White of Wichita, Kansas; four sons, Horace James (Jmac) White of Fort Worth, Texas, Shawn White of Abilene, Texas, David White of Dallas, Texas, and Ron White of Kansas City, Kansas; three daughters, Cassandra White of Spiro, Oklahoma, Crystal White of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Tasha Youmans-Parish of Bella Vista, Arkansas; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four brothers, David (Henrine) Armstrong of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Michael White of Boley, Oklahoma, Willie White of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Gerald White of San Jose, California; a sister, Barbara Armstrong of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and a host of nephews, nieces, many other relatives, and friends.
