Lavern’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. Lavern Hardin.

Levern Hardin, Sr. was born October 11, 1939 in Morrilton, Arkansas to Veatrice Hardin Jones and David Carolina, Sr. He departed this life on August 11, 2020 to be with his Lord, Jesus Christ. He accepted Christ at an early age. He was raised by Francis and J.C. Gregory in Morrilton, Arkansas. Levern spent most of his time helping other people. He was a big jokester. He loved to tell jokes. Levern did all types of jobs throughout his life.
Levern was preceded in death by his grandparents, Francis and J.C. Gregory; mother, Veatrice Jones; father, David Carolina, Sr. and a host of other relatives.
Levern leaves to cherish his loving memory, wife, Mildred Hardin of Morrilton, Arkansas; three sons, Vincent Hardin, Levern Hardin, Jr., and Douglas Hardin all of San Angelo, Texas; two daughters, Pearl Hardin and Sarah Hardin both of San Angelo, Texas; step-children, Cynthia Releford, Lisa (Charles) Smith both of Roland, Oklahoma, Delphine Bray of Nebraska, Robert (Chere) Davis of Texas; six brothers; six sisters; special cousin, Brenda Oneal McClain and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Walk through visitation will be held Monday, August 17, 2020 from 12:00pm to 5:00pm at Veasley Funeral Home.
Celebration of life graveside service will be held Tuesday, August 18, 2020, 10:00am at Hickory Hill Cemetery, 1274 AR-95, Morrilton, Arkansas 72110.
Committal service and final resting place will be Hickory Hill Cemetery, Morrilton, Arkansas
