In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Stratford family. Seth’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. Seth Stratford.

Seth Jerome Stratford was born on Saturday, August 15, 1959 to the late Howard and Thee Juana (Howard) Stratford in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was called by God to take his eternal rest four days after his 61st birthday on Wednesday, August 19, 2020. He is also preceded in death by a brother, Steve Stratford.

Seth was baptized at an early age at Mallalieu United Methodist Church, (now united Methodist Church). He was educated in the Fort Smith Public School System.

Seth was an intellectually curious person with a pleasing personality. He enjoyed being around his family and friends. His was also a voracious “reader” of historical events and astronomy. He loved watching all documentaries on the History Channel. He will be missed dearly by those who loved and knew him.

Seth will be forever cherished by his two daughters, LaKresha (Grady) Bentley of Prattville, Alabama and Sentica (Gary) Shannon of Little Rock, Arkansas; his six grandchildren; his five siblings, Judy Christian, Stacy Wesson, Pam, Stanley, and Sterling (Ruth) Stratford all of Fort Smith, Arkansas, several nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends.
