Archie Cleveland Winters, Jr. was a blessing to Shirley Suggs and the late Archie Cleveland Winters, Sr. on Monday, April 27, 1981 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was called to take his eternal rest on Tuesday, September 22, 2020.

Archie was baptized at the age of 37 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He educated in the Panama Public School System of Panama, Oklahoma. While in Junior High School, he played basketball. Later in life, he received his GED. Archie worked as a meat-cutter for Edward’s Food Giant. He was always on the go, constantly moving around.

Archie generally loved all people and was a lover of fun times with his family friends. He was no stranger to people and he never met a stranger in life. He was a loving and caring friend, who would give the shirt off his back in order to help someone. He would play pick-up basketball in parks and school yards, all he needed was to be part of a team. He loved his precious Kansas City Chiefs; he could talk about them all day.

Archie was loyal to and loved his family and friends. His three sons were his heart and the joy of his life. He also loved playing around with all of his nieces and nephews. His favorite color was red, and he was lover of Hip Hop music. He would spend hours listening to Hip Hop and writing lyrics. His brother stated that, Archie said “life was no fun living by the book”. He truly lived by those words, and that’s what made him a great person to know and love. He will be greatly missed by those who loved and appreciated his high-spirited personality.

Archie will be forever cherished by his three sons, Shannon and Victor Winters both of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Tristan Winters of Fayetteville; his mother, Shirley Winters of Fort Smith, Arkansas, his brother, Shannon (Laura) Suggs of Greenwood, Arkansas; his three sisters, Vicky (Daniel) Black of Panama, Oklahoma, Angela Bivona, and Crystal Winters both of Fort Smith, Arkansas, several nieces and nephews, many other relatives, and friends.
