In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Neal Family. Bertha's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Bertha Neal.

Bertha Liza Neal, was born December 23, 1955 in Fort Smith, Arkansas; to the late Everett Neal and Zora Perry. She was also preceded in death by her oldest sister; Zula Mae Williams.
Bertha attended school in Fort Smith, Arkansas; where she graduated from Northside High School, Class of 1974. The simple pleasures in life gave Bertha great joy. She liked playing solitaire and spending time with her family; especially her two sons. She also loved to visit her family in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Bertha leaves to cherish her memory: her two (2) Sons; Donald Neal of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Tetrick Lewis (Natasha Brewer-Lewis) of St. Louis, Missouri. One (1) Brother: Herbert Manager (Late wife, Cora Manager). Two (2) Sisters: Agnes Reynolds (Melvin) and Willie Lee McDaniel (William). Five (5) Grandchildren: Akili Neal, Akeeya Neal, Jalen Neal, Elijah Neal and Brayden Ward. And one (1) Great-grandchild.
Along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday; August 11, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Rowell-Parish Mortuary,
611 North 9th Street, Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Memorial Service will be held Saturday; August 12, 2023, 11:00 AM, Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 1119 Division Street,
Fort Smith, Arkansas.
