Revelations 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Bobby Joe Smith was born to the late Berneice (Davis) Smith and the late Jesse Smith on March 10, 1956, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Bobby passed away peacefully on Tuesday September 15, 2026, in Fort Smith.

Bobby grew up in Fort Smith and attended Howard Elementary, Darby Junior High and Northside High School.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Jesse (1978), Berneice (2009), twin brother Billy Ray Smith (2006), sister Sharol Douglas (2011), nephew Jesse Douglas (2013), sister Linda “Kay” Graham (2016) and brother Sam Smith (2019).

Bobby leaves to cherish his memories: two (2) siblings: Carol Ann Smith and Ricky Smith both of Fort Smith, Arkansas.  A sister-in-love Rose Smith; a host of nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews.

Bobby was a loved uncle, brother, and a friend to many; who will all truly miss him.

Memorial celebration of life will be held Saturday September 26, 2026; 9:00am Rowell-Parish Mortuary Chapel 611 North 9th St., Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901.
