In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Phillips family. Elizabeth's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Ms. Elizabeth Ann Phillips.

Elizabeth Ann Phillips was a gift from God given to the late Cleo Williams on Thursday, December 2, 1957 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was called to take her eternal rest from Fort Smith on Tuesday, September 28, 2021. She was also preceded in death by her daughter: Angela Andrews; one of her sisters: Flora McHenry and one of her nieces: April Thomas.


Elizabeth accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at First Missionary Baptist Church, when they were located on North 12th Street under the leadership of the late Rev. Waldon. She graduated from the Public School System of Fort Smith: Howard Elementary, Darby Junior High and Northside High Schools. As a student at Darby, she was a member of the Pep Club. While living in Pasadena, California, she joined the Rose Garden Temple #847. She was an active daughter who served in several different positions in the Temple. As a daughter of the Temple, she very active with all of the community programs and activities that would occur throughout the calendar year.


Elizabeth was a Certified Nursing Assistant in the Fort Smith area. She loved cooking and playing spades. She also enjoyed gatherings with her family and friends. She will be missed by all who appreciated and treasured her throughout her life.

Elizabeth will be forever cherished by her husband: Delmar Phillips, Sr.; her two sons: Delmar (Jessica) Phillips of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Robert Curtis of Toledo, Ohio; her four grandchildren: Cameron Barron, Monique Delgado, Mya Delgado and Amir Curtis; her four brothers: David White of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Edward (Tracy) Tatum of Hinesville, Georgia, Eric Johnson and Lawrence Bass both of Fort Smith, Arkansas; three sisters: Dorothy White of Kansas City, Missouri, Elsie (Samuel) Harris of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Nancy Curtis of Little Rock, Arkansas and a host of nephews, nieces, other family members and friends.


Public walk-through will be Friday, October 8, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Rowell-Parish Mortuary 611 North 9th Street Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901.


Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Rowell-Parish Mortuary Chapel.


Committal service and final resting place will be at Oak Cemetery Fort Smith, Arkansas.
