In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Drumgoole family. Gracie Mae’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Ms. Gracie Mae Drumgoole.

Mother Gracie Mae Benton Drumgoole was born to the late Mr. A.G. and Mrs.Emma Fortune Benton in Conway,AR on December 13,1941. She departed this life May 25, 2021. Later Mrs.Emma Benton married Mr. Theodore Bunting, Sr. who raised Gracie. She is preceded in death by her husband Deacon Arthur Drumgoole, Sr. and one son Arthur Drumgoole, Jr.


Mother Drumgoole grew up and attended school in Conway, AR. She graduated from Pine Street High School in 1961. She later moved to Little Rock, AR and graduated on 1962 with a degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked at Saint Vincent's Hospital for 10 years and later worked 10 years as a private duty licensed practical nurse. She married Mr. Arthur Drumgoole on April 13,1963. From this union God blessed them with five children.She united with the William Temple Church of God in Christ in 1962 under the leadership of the late Supt. L. L. Williams. After his passing, Gracie continued to serve under the leadership of the current pastor, Bishop Jewel R. Withers, Jr. Mother Drumgoole was a faithful member of the choir. She served lovingly in The Hospitality Ministry cooking for families who lost loved ones, providing household items to help during some of the hardest times in the families’ lives. She was a great encourager and a godly woman of wonderful wisdom. She did many odd jobs that were necessary for the work of the Kingdom and she always labored hardily as unto the Lord. She was very talented with her hands. She served in the Sewing Circle making gifts like quilts and novelty items. She faithfully served the saints in transportation to church and stores and doctor’s visits. She was a sensitive woman and was skilled in assisting families in the preparation of funeral arrangements during their loss. Mother Gracie Drumgoole was a faithful member of the Williams Temple Church of God in Christ for over 57 years. She later moved to live with her daughter, Angela Drumgoole-Reed, in Midlothian, Texas where she served under the leadership of Supt. Roger D. Eiland at the Prayer Tower Church Of God In Christ until her health failed.


Mother Drumgoole leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter: Angela Drumgoole-Reed of Midlothian, TX; three sons: Ronald Drumgoole of Jackson, MS., Anthony ( Nichole) Drumgoole of Mansfield, TX, Jimmy (Tomeka) Drumgoole of Crowley, TX; three sisters: Markeetia Collins, Mary McCray, Shelia (Will) Isby of Conway, AR; four brothers: Lincoln Hill of Farmville, LA, Michael Bunting, Larry (Linda) Bunting of Conway, AR; Theodore (Toby) Bunting, Jr. of Mt. Juliet, TN; 3 sisters-in-law: Alice Mitchem of Little Rock, AR, Reola (Tony) Taylor of Kansas City, MO, Ethel Drumgoole of Little Rock, AR, Martha Drumgoole of Oakland, CA; nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host nieces and nephews.


Family and friends walk through visitation will be held Friday, May 28, 2021 from 12:00pm to 5:00pm at Veasley Funeral Home.


Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, May 29, 2021, 10:00am at Waters Temple Church of God In Christ, 7414 Lancaster Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72209.


Committal service and final resting place will be held at Haven of Rest Cemetery, 7102 W. 12th Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72204.
