In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Gardner family. Jimmy’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. Jimmy Lee Gardner.

Jimmy Lee Gardner was a blessing from God to Cecil and the late Alena (Triplett) Gardner, Sr. on Sunday, February 22, 1970 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was called to take his eternal rest also from Fort Smith on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at his home.
Jimmy had a personal relationship with God and truly tried his best to be a good person. He started his education at the Saint John Head Start Center Preschool from 1973 to 1976. In 1976, he started on his journey of being educated in the Fort Public Schools: Howard Elementary, Darby Junior High and Northside High. He graduated from Northside in the Class of 1988. He attended Penn Foster Career Modeling School in 2000. He also attended the Arkansas Career Training Institute in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He completed his vision: Dietetics & Cooking. He completed his training. He received his Driver’s License from the Institute in Hot Springs.
Jimmy was a kind-hearted, loving and friendly person. He was a people-person, because he never met a stranger. Once you met Jimmy, you never forgot him. He was truly loved by his family and many friends. He devoted his time to making collages and volunteering. He would help wherever he was needed. He also loved writing in his journal. He will be greatly missed by all who appreciated his presence while on earth. God truly made him to be a blessing in our family.
Jimmy will be forever remembered by his four brothers: Vincent Triplett, Cecil Gardner, Jr. and Kirk Gardner all of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Anthony (Shawna) Gardner of Denver, Colorado; a sister: Cathy Triplett of Fort Smith, Arkansas and a host of nephews, nieces, other family members and many friends.
Visitation will be Monday, October 25, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Rowell-Parish Mortuary 611 North 9th Street Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901.
Celebration of life service will be held Tuesday, October 26, 2021, 12 p.m. at Rowell-Parish Mortuary.
