In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Crenshaw Family. Lorene's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Lorene Crenshaw.

Lorene Crenshaw was born on October 23, 1953 in Conway, Arkansas to the late Willie Crenshaw, Sr. She gained her wings on October 22, 2023 at Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas. Lorene was baptized at an early age at Salem Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Earlie Mack. Lorene attended Conway Public Schools and later moved to Kansas City, Kansas where she lived all her adult life. She later joined St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Kansas City, Kansas under the leadership of Pastor Wil L. Adams.

Lorene was an employee at the Economic Opportunity Foundation until her health began to fail. Her hobbies…. Cooking ALL different kinds of foods, baking homemade pound cakes, pies, cookies, breads, etc. Lorene also loved watching the stories, cooking shows, Sally and her crossword puzzle books.

Lorene is proceeded in death by both parents Willie and Estella Crenshaw; two brothers, Willie Crenshaw Jr. an James Crenshaw; three sisters, Mae Dean, Lois and Hattie; one sister-in-law and four brother-in-laws.

Lorene leaves to cherish her memories; her twin sister, Florene Bullock of Kansas City, Kansas; her baby sister, Barbara A. Smith of Mt. Morris of Mt. Morris, Michigan; special nieces, Carmella Watson of Kansas City, Missouri; Tiffany Caldwell of Kansas City, Kansas, and Lisa Matthews of Conway, Arkansas, Shawn Crenshaw of Flint, Michigan; special nephews, Tremael (Malika) Bullock of Kansas City, Missouri, Kenny (Latonia) Brown of Autaugaville, Alabama; Clifford Crenshaw of North Little Rock, Arkansas; special cousin, Betty Hammons Hightower of Conway, Arkansas; special friends, Vanessa (Lewis) Harris, Eloise (Charles) Anders, Rosie Carter, Effie and Lendra Austin all of Kansas City, Kansas and a host of great nephews, great nieces, cousins and friends.


Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, November 11, 2023, 11:00am at Greater Fellowship Christian Church, 1 Wildwood Dr., Conway, Arkansas 72032.


Committal service and final resting place will be held at Duke Cemetery, Conway, Arkansas.
