Robert’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Rev. Robert C. Triplett.

Rev. Robert C. Triplett, age 80, of Pocola, Oklahoma, received his heavenly wings on October 3, 2020. He was born January 17, 1940 to the late Viola Griffith-Eubanks and Elmer Triplett.
He attended Spiro High School until the 11th grade. When he moved to Pasadena, California he later received his General Education Degree in 1973. After living in California and Kansas, he returned to Fort Coffee and held various jobs as Chief of Police in Fort Coffee, BBQ restaurant owner in Pocola and an employee of OG&E in Fort Smith.
Robert, affectionately known as R. C., accepted his calling into the ministry and was later ordained in Oklahoma. Rev. Triplett pastored at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Hartshorne, Ok, Mount Olive Baptist Church and First Baptist Church both in Vian, Ok, and First Baptist Church and Harris Chapel Baptist Church in Lewisville, Ok, where he served for 27 years. He was President of the Central Wayland District Sunday School Congress for 27 years. He was a member of Mount Hermit Masonic Lodge No. 35 in Pocola and a 32nd Degree Mason of E. O. Trent No. 223. He was a lodge member for 50 years and served as Chaplin for 30 years.
Rev. Triplett retired from pastoring in 2007 due to complications following a stroke. He became a resident of Pocola Nursing Center where he served as Chaplain to the residents.
He was a member of Union Baptist Church in Pocola, Oklahoma where he served under Pastor M.L. Thompson and First Lady Marilyn Thompson. He was given the opportunity to share God’s word through scriptures every Sunday until he was no longer able to attend due to COVID-19.
Rev. Triplett is preceded in death by his parents; his ex-wife, Hazel Marie Triplett, three brothers and two sisters. He leaves to cherish his memories, four sons, six brothers, five sisters, three aunts, twenty-two grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
