In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Craig family. Taraneka’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Ms. Taraneka LaVette Craig.

Taraneka LaVette Craig (aka: Neka & Sneaky Pee) was a blessing given by God on Tuesday, October 3, 1978 to Deborah Craig and the late Aaron Bee in Mobile, Alabama. She was also called by God to take her eternal rest on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 from Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was also preceded in death by her maternal great-grandmother: Matilda Jackson; her paternal grandmother: Barbara Bee; her aunt: Carol Craig; her three uncles: Reginald, Gary and Alonzo Barnes and one of her cousins: Maurice Johnson.


Taraneka moved to Fort Smith, Arkansas over 14 years ago and was employed with McDonalds for 12 years. She was truly a Roll Tide Fan. Everyone had to be extremely quiet when Alabama was playing games. Neka loved life and cooking. She truly treasured all the time she spent with her family. She was very fond of all of her nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed and always treasured in our hearts.


Sneaky Pee will be forever cherished and remembered by her son: ZaMarlen Craig; four grandchildren: Luna, Jonah, Za’Chaeus and Everleigh; her devoted & loving mother: Deborah Craig; her three devoted sisters: Sherita (Castello Chestnut), Terrika and Sharkeila Craig; her two devoted brothers: Sharif and Tyrell Craig; all of Fort Smith, Arkansas; her maternal grandmother: Dora Barnes of Mobile, Alabama; her three devoted aunts: Deloris Washington, Diana Murray and Deidre Ray all of Mobile, Alabama; three caring aunts: Elizabeth Craig of Detroit, Michigan, Melissa Craig of Battle Creek, Michigan and Cassandra Craig of Albion, Michigan; her five uncles: Carlos (Ann) Barnes of Junction City, Kansas, Walter (Shirley) Davis Jr. of Mobile, Alabama, Reginald, George and Joe Craig all three of Albion, Michigan, and numerous nephews and nieces; a great-niece; her two special friends: Mischa Deering and Candice Lewis and a host of other family members and friends.


Memorial service will be held Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Rowell-Parish Mortuary 611 North 9th Street Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901.
