In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Smith Family. Teddy's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Teddy Smith.

Teddy Andre Smith was born on November 14, 1964 to the late George and Lorine Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved siblings, Jonny June Smith, Sr., Alfred Leo Smith, and Janey Mae Smith-Kindle. At an early age, Teddy accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and united with St. Mark Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Sylvester King, where His lifelong walk began.
Teddy attended East Side High School in Menifee before graduating from Morrilton High School with the Class of 1982. He continued his education at Arkansas State University–Beebe and later earned his bachelor's degree in mathematics from University of the Ozarks.
Teddy shared his love of learning as a mathematics teacher with the Conway County School District, where he inspired students through his knowledge, patience, and encouragement. He later concluded his professional career at Union Camp, where he served as a respected supervisor until his retirement.
Beyond his career, Teddy was deeply committed to his community. He found joy in mentoring young people and encouraging them to become responsible and successful adults. His wisdom, kindness, and generosity left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
Teddy will be remembered for his unwavering faith, quiet strength, generous spirit, and deep love for his family, friends, and community. His legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched.
On July 13, 2026, God called His faithful servant, Teddy Andre Smith, from labor to eternal rest. While our hearts are saddened by his departure, we rejoice in knowing that he is now at peace in the presence of his Heavenly Father.
Forever cherishing his memory are his beloved children: his daughter, Michlene Wright (Brandon, Sr.) of Mansfield, Texas; Jeremy Smith (Thompson) of Clarksville, Arkansas; Trent Smith of Houston, Texas; and Jerren Smith (Thompson) of Clarksville, Arkansas; grandchildren: Trenity, Brandon Jr., Ameriana, and Aria.
He will be truly missed by his surviving siblings: Lovon Canady, Lee Smith (Betty), Dorthy Smith, and Ora Smith, all of Menifee, AR; Wilma Mason (Henry, Jr.), Elleen McGraw, and Melissa Smith, all of Conway, AR.
Teddy will be remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends who will miss him dearly.
Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, July 25, 2026, 2:30pm at Philadelphia Baptist Church, 3849 US-64, Menifee, Arkansas.
Committal service and final resting place will be held at Menifee Cemetery.
