In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Stewart family. Theresa's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Theresa Stewart.

Theresa Ann Stewart (Poodie) was born on February 15,1976 at St Mary’s Hospital to Barbara Stewart and the late Jerry Jackson.  Proceeded in death by her father, maternal grandparents Irene and Harry Stewart, Paternal Grandparents Willamena and Calvin Jackson, baby brother Linzy Stewart and god mother Nancy Jones , Uncle Thomas Stewart and Larry Stewart.  Theresa was baptized at an early age by the Rev. John D. Holland. Theresa sang in the choir and was a member of the Mission. Theresa graduated from Russellville High School in 1994. Theresa started her own cleaning business and in her free time she loved to go to the casino. Theresa loved interacting with her 5 grandchildren where she would dance, sing with them and would buy them whatever they wanted. Theresa was a loving and supportive grandmother who attended all of her grandchildren’s extra curricular activities. Theresa was a loyal friend and the cousin who always knew how to have a good time.

Theresa is survived by her 4 children, Kaliyah, Samantha, Noah and Shane, Jada Lucy(Dog), her mother Barbara Stewart, siblings Regina Stewart, Sammie Stewart, Thomas Stewart, Katandra Jackson, Jerri Jackson, Greta Jackson, Vicky Jackson, Neice Kenesha Stewart, Nephew Nathan Pruitt, Great Aunt Billie Sue Potter, Aunt Irma Jean Jackson, Diedre Embry, Nadine Martinez, Paulette(Darryl)Conley, Uncle Clayton Bloodsaw, and  Paul Jackson. Host of cousins and friends.


Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, June 13, 2025 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church, 321 S. Houston Pl., Russellville, Arkansas 72801.


Celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 14, 2025, 11:00am at New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church, 321 S. Houston Pl., Russellville, Arkansas 72801.


Committal service and final resting place will be held at Reed's Cemetery, Russellville, Arkansas.
