Venita Maria Register, “BOO-BOO”, was a blessing from God given to the Late Marcelis and Shirley (Wesley) Register on Tuesday, April 21, 1964 in Fort Dix, New Jersey. She was called to take her eternal rest on the early morning of Sunday, May 9, 2021 from Fort Smith, Arkansas. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Gary Smith and her sister, Debra Smith-Boyd.

Venita’s early education (1st through 7th) was in the Fort Smith Public Schools System; her 8th through the 12th grades were in Liberty City, Texas. She graduated from Sabine High School. She attended Marshall College in Marshall, Texas. She later moved to Fort Smith where she raised her only child, Brandi (Register) Cates. She worked for several years for McDonalds and BOST, Inc.

Venita truly loved and was extremely proud of her family. She was a giver in life and a very loving person, but she could be as stubborn as a bull. She always made sure everyone was taken care of around her in life. She will be truly missed by all who treasured and appreciated her in life.

Venita leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Brandi (Register) Cates of Fort Smith, Arkansas; a granddaughter, Alexis Register; a grandson, Isiah Cates; her pet companion, Zeus Register; a sister, Stephanie (Joseph) McAdams; four brothers, Lee Smith, Jr., Rodney (Tammy) Register all seven of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Marcelis Register of Kilgore, Texas and Rodney (Carolyn) Johnson of Wausau, Wisconsin, and a host of niece and nephews and friends.

Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Rowell-Parish Mortuary Chapel 611 North 9th Street Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901.
