Virgil Ray Bates

Virgil Ray Bates, 73 of Paris, Arkansas, died Friday, March 18, 2016 in a local hospital. He was born July 23, 1942 in Paris, Arkansas to Daniel Henry and Rena Phillips Bates.

He was a retired Sanitation Department worker.

Funeral will be Saturday, March 26th, 10:00 a.m. at Pentecostals of Paris with burial at Gray Rock Cemetery under the direction of Rowell-Parish Mortuary of Fort Smith.

Viewing will be Friday, March 25th, 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife Leigh Ann of the home; four daughters: Rachel, Kendra, Sheila, and Cindy Bates; two sons, Alex and Braden Bates; three sisters: Daisy Ludgood, Margaret Cave, and Dorothy Collins all of Gray Rock; Daniel Bates of Gray Rock; 15 grandchildren.
