Cheryl Haynes Knauls


Cheryl Ann Haynes Knauls was born July 6, 1955 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was called to join our Heavenly Father on Sunday, July 17, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Luther and Lula Haynes; her husband, Thomas Bernard “Tom Bone” Knauls; a sister, Deloris Haynes; a niece, Monique; and a nephew, Eric Haynes. Cheryl was a graduate of the Northside High School in Fort Smith. She went on to further her education at Westark Community College (now the University of Arkansas Fort Smith).

She was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Cheryl worked many years at Tyson Foods. She was a care-giver to family and friends.

Funeral will be Tuesday, July 26, 2016, 11:00 a.m. at Grand Avenue Baptist Church with burial at Fort Smith National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Paul Toran, Sr., James White, Quenci Smith, Jamie Smith, Terry Harris and James Moton.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory two daughters, Tiki Knauls and Chantella Knauls both of Oklahoma City, OK; six grandchildren: Terrance Triplett, Damen Triplett (Ebony Jordan), Tierra Knauls, Brandon Knauls, Kadiera Ross, Chantise Hollins; four great grandchildren: Damarcus Triplett, Seriya Triplett, Chanamyla Hollins, and Taylen Toran; four sisters: Margaret Owens (Leandre), Rose Morris (Parnell), Hazel Haynes, and Deborah Haynes; one brother James Haynes.

She also leaves her loving and caring sisters-in-law: Florine Johnson, Bernice Mounsey (David), Judy Austin (George), Janice Price (Sammy), Sheila Knauls, and Shirley Jordan (Raymond); brothers-in-law: Donnie Knauls, Louis Austin (Marilyn), Robert Knauls, Charles Knauls, and the late Leroy Triplett. Her extended family also include a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
