Dr. David Dewayne Sutton, D.C. affectionately known as "Doc" of Malvern, Arkansas passed away May 16, 2017. He was born January 18, 1941 in Paris, Illinois to Russell Earl Sutton, Sr. and Ruth (Lowry) Sutton. He graduated from Marshall High School in 1959. He later served in the United States Army in England shortly after and subsequently graduated from Palmer School of Chiropractic in 1974. He then moved to Malvern, Arkansas with his wife and children and began his Chiropractic practice that he held there until his death. He and his wife owned the Malvern Bowling Center for years and he was an avid bowler. He was an active member of the Arkansas Chiropractic Association, Malvern Moose Lodge, Malvern Lion's Club and the Masonic Lodge. Doc had a true passion for helping others, had a love for classic muscle cars, (especially GTO's) and he loved shooting pool and playing poker. Doc was more than just a Chiropractor to his patients, he was a good friend. He did not have set hours or days in the office. He would meet patients in need, anytime of the day or night to treat them. In 44 years of practice, he never missed a day of work. His humanitarianism was visible for all that knew him. Dr. Sutton is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Russell Sutton, Jr. "Bud" and nephew, Paul E. Davis, Jr. "Davy". Dr. Sutton leaves to cherish his loving memory, his wife of 40 years, Linda (King) Sutton; daughters, Casey, Sloene, Shelby, Staci, and Summer Sutton; siblings, Paul Sutton, Harold Sutton, Troy King, Norma Jean Darnell, Kay (Sutton) Garver, Karla (King) Hardy; one grandchild, Robert Griffin, III (Tres') and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Services in honor of his life will be Saturday, May 20, 2017, 3:00 PM at Pearce Funeral Home, 314 S. 6th St., Marshall, Illinois 62441.

Interment will be held in the Vermilion Cemetery, rural Edgar County, IL with military graveside rites.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until service time Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of any flowers or gifts, you may contribute to a memorial fund set up at Malvern National Bank in Malvern, Arkansas.
