In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Brown family. Lorene's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall their be anymore pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Ms. Lorene Brown.

Lorene Massey-Brown was born on January 11, 1948 in Cedar, Oklahoma to the late Walter Massey and Helen Jones.

Lorene attended school in Pocola and Spiro Oklahoma. She graduated from Spiro in 1967. She later retired from Riverside Furniture in Fort smith, Arkansas. She then met and married the love of her life Mckinley Lorenzo Brown in December of 2003. During her life journey, she was loved and cherished by so many people. Her only mission in life was to care and help all of them.

Lorene is preceded in death by her husband; parents; two brothers, Sherl and Verl Massey and one sister, Kathleen Clayton.

Lorene leaves to cherish her loving memory, daughter, Debra (Willie) Glover of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; four brothers, Eplurious (Katherine) Massey of Spiro, Oklahoma, Clifford (Von) Massey of St. Louis, Missouri, Lee (Jean) Massey of Moffett, Oklahoma, Sylvester Massey of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; four sisters, Pearl McKinney of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Freda (Paul) Bishop of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Celia (Johnny) Washington of Texarkana, Texas, Reba Massey of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held Friday, June 9, 2017, 11:00am at The House of Restoration, 6115 US-271, Fort Smith, Arkansas 72908.

Interment will be held Friday, June 9, 2017, 1:00pm at the Fort Smith National Cemetery, 522 S. 6th St., Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901.
