In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the James family. Angelina's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall their be anymore pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Ms. Angelina James.

Angelina Lynn James was born September 22, 1961, to the late Hosea and Eloise Block-James. She was one of eight children born to this union. There were five other siblings prior to marriage of Hosea and Eloise.

Angelina confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at Emmanuel Baptist Church. She later united with St. Mark Baptist Church; Little Rock, AR under the leadership of Paster Phillip L. Pointer, Sr.

Angelina received her formal education through the Little Rock School District. She graduated from Hall High School in 1980 and attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Philander Smith College and Pulaski Technical College. Angelina was employed by the Little Rock School District as a student aid for many years and later became a Certified Nursing Assistant. She loved working in the profession of helping those who were stricken with ill health and unable to care for themselves.

Angelina was a loving and devoted mother to her two daughters, ChaKela and Johhmanda, and grandmother to her four grandchildren, Gregory Jr; Tre'shounghn, Kaisey and Tyrone.

On July 23, 2017, Angelina departed her earthly vessel to live in her heavenly home. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, two daughters ChaKela Danner and Johhmanda Taylor both of Little Rock; four grandchildren, Gregory Ellis Jones Jr, Tre'Shounghn LeeAngelo Jones, Kaisey Angella Jones, and Tyrone Johmaine Jones all of Little Rock; four brothers, Johnny (Sharon) James, Hosea James, Freddrick (Sherry) James, Andrew James, and Derrick James all of Little Rock, James Green of North Little Rock; two sisters Dr. Lynette (Dr. Gerard) James-Mosby of Michigan, Tanja (Devon) James-Drummond of Georgia and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She also leaves to cherish her memory a special best friend Artoria Smith; a sister, Tanja Drummond; a brother, James Green; two beautiful daughters; and soon to be son-in-law, Gregory Ellis Jones.

Celebration of life service will be held Friday, August 4, 2017, 11:00 AM at St. Mark Baptist Church, 5722 W. 12th Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72206.
