Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall their be anymore pain, for the former things are passed away." Ricky Lane McCurtain was born November 25, 1958 in Fort Coffee, Oklahoma to Lula V. McCurtain. He attended Spiro public schools. He later moved to Fort Smith, Arkansas where he became employed by the City of Fort Smith as a backhoe operator. He enjoyed working outside using heavy machinery. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandsons that was the joy of his life. He entered into rest on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 10:15 AM. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lula V. McCurtain; two brothers, Lace D. McCurtain, Albert A. McCurtain and sister, Muriel McCurtain-Phillips. He leaves to cherish his loving memory, loving and devoted wife, Denice Gilyard-McCurtain; daughter, Andrea Janea (Gary) Freeman of Fort Smith, Arkansas; three brothers, John L. McCurtain of Fort Coffee, Oklahoma, Ocie McCurtain of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Paul R. (Marguerite) McCurtain of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three grandsons, Jakobe Freeman, Jakardin Freeman, Gary Freeman, Jr. and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
