Melinda Chenault, 50, of Russellville, Arkansas passed away on Friday, Decamber 1, 2017 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. A daughter of Horace Rogers and Francis Franklin, she was born November 5, 1967 in Dardanell, Arkansas. She was a housewife and faithful member of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church #1. Melinda enjoyed cooking and everyone enjoyed her cooking. She was very family-oriented and greatly enjoyed spending time especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Melinda was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Carolyn Williams, Ella Gilbert, and Laura Woodard; two brothers, Carliss and Ted Chenault. Melinda leaves to cherish her loving memory, a son, James (Whitney) Chenault; three daughters, Ashanti Chenault, Melisha (Jeffery) Hankins, Victoria Foster; three sisters, Mildred Mpamugo, Nita Faye Potter, Tina (Tarryl) Bradley; four brothers, Charles Chenault, Johnny (Tina) Chenault, Horace Rogers, Jr., Stevie Black; 18 grandchildren, Darius, Jakobe, Kennedy, Iyana, Kenzo, Kenley, Kenzley, Anya, Izabella, Sati, Kali, Tattan, Skyler, Araleyah, Brandon, Xavier, Zamiyah, Akevia; one great-grandson, Jontaye and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 15, 2017 from 6pm-8pm at New Prospect Baptist Church, Russellville, AR. Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, December 16, 2017, 12:00 noon at New Prospect Baptist Church, 321 S. Houston Place, Russellville, AR 72801. Committal service and final resting place will be held at Reed Cemetery, Russellville, AR.
