Mack-Ray's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall their be anymore pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. Mack-Ray Byrd.

Mack Ray Byrd was born June 19, 1960 in Conway, Arkansas to McKinley and Rosie Lee Byrd, Sr. Mack Ray gave his life to Christ at an early age and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Conway. Mack Ray attended Conway Public Schools and later worked at Green Bay Packaging Company in Morrilton, Arkansas for 22 years until his health failed. Many people knew him to be an exceptional football player. He was a hard worker, great friend, and father. He had a big heart and would give you the shirt off his back. He lived life to the fullest. He loved his children and grandchildren dearly. His favorite thing to do was cook for his family and friends. Mack Ray is preceded in death by his parents, McKinley and Rosie Lee Byrd, Sr; one brother, McKinley Byrd, Jr. Mack Ray leaves to cherish his loving memory, children, Antonia (Terrence) Byrd-Fuller, Shaunie Byrd, McKinley Turner; grandchildren, Trinity Lasker-Byrd, Tatum Lasker-Byrd, Jordan Hill-Byrd, Jayla Woods, Janiya Fuller, Brinley Hart-Fuller; one niece, Chinetta Byrd-Kelly and a host of other relatives and friends. Family and friends visitation will be held Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 11:00am - 1:00pm at Veasley Funeral Home, 1111 Harkrider St., Conway.
