Patricia Ann Payne-Balenton was born February 13, 1961 in Morrilton, Arkansas to Ivory "Big Boy" Payne and Lizzitta Hood. Patricia accepted Christ at an early age. She was baptized and became a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Houston, Arkansas under the leadership of Rev. Samuel Iverson and remained a faithful member there until she transitioned to her Heavenly Home. Patricia was a graduate of Bigelow High School in Bigelow, Arkansas. She was an Home Health Caregiver as well as an employee of Conway Public Schools and Spirit Homes in Conway, Arkansas. Patricia was preceded in death by her mother, Lizzitta Hood-Gray, her father, Ivory "Big Boy" Payne and her daughter, Paula Ann Gray. Patricia leaves to cherish her loving memory, her husband, Joe Balenton of Conway, Arkansas; step children, Jeff Balenton of Portland, Oregon, Sonya Balenton and Ashleay Balenton both of Little Rock, Arkansas; step father, Cleves Gray, Sr. of Morrilton, Arkansas; five brothers, Neal (Dollie) Hood of Menifee, Arkansas, Terry (Presundra) Hood of Bigelow, Arkansas, William (Tawana) Gray of Arlington, Texas, Mack Gray of Bigelow, Arkansas, Cleves (Lashanda) Gray, Jr. of Fort Worth, Texas; two sisters, Flora (Clarence) Webb of Dallas, Texas, Ulinda Gray of Morrilton, Arkansas; special cousin/brother, Kenneth (Diane) Hood of Bigelow, Arkansas and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held, Friday, March 9, 2018 from 6-7 PM at Veasley Funeral Home. Celebration of life service will be held, Saturday, March 10, 2018, 11:00 AM at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 38 Hill Loop, Houston, Arkansas. Committal service and final resting place will be held at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Houston, Arkansas.
