Betty A. English was born a gift to the Covington family on August 13, 1950 to Joe and Marie Covington. She professed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined Bethel A.M.E Church. She met and married George W. English, Jr., and to this union two children were born. Thanks to her late mother Ruth, she loved taking care of her children. She also loved skating and camping. She began her career as a nurse at St. Joseph Hospital in South Bend, Indiana for 12 years and later became a care taker for the Conway Children's Colony for over 30 years. She loved all candy. We loved to watch our mother with children. She cared for so many and loved them all. One of her most favorite sayings was "small minds talk about people. Average minds talk about places. Great minds talk about change." Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Marie Covington; siblings, Lavada Bullock, Sinclair Bullock, Deborah Bullock, and James Bullock.
Betty leaves to cherish her loving memory, husband, George W. English, Jr. of Morrilton, Arkansas; children, Anthony (Deborah) English of Clinton, Arkansas, Ginnella (Mikol) English-Kindle of Morrilton, Arkansas; siblings, Mary Dickerson, Geraldine Bullock, Stanley Dunson, Jacquline Bullock, and Michael Bullock all of Indianapolis, Indiana; grandchildren, Shawn, Marcus, Marcellus, Jymond, Tyler, Kamrun, Anfernee, Gerell, Rashid; great grandchildren, Jahmiere, Kayden, Amyrah, Jeremaih and a host of other relatives and friends.
