Brenda’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Ms. Brenda Hurston.

Brenda Marie Hurston, born April 5, 1957 was a special woman. She touched many hearts and will forever be remembered as a woman of strength, love, and respect. She was called home Saturday, April 29th, 2023.
Brenda is preceded in death by her father, Chuck Teague and mother, Jimmie Francis Parvin.
Brenda was a hard worker and a homemaker. To know Brenda was to love Brenda. She spent her time taking care of kids and making sure we never went without. She was the kind of woman who would bend backwards to help another. The kind who would go without if it meant another person needs were met. She was honest, truthful and a person you could count on.
Brenda is survived by her husband, Billy Hurston of Fort Smith, Arkansas; two sons, Billy Hurston, III, and Travis Hurston both of Fort Smith, Arkansas; two daughters, Vanissa Hurston and spouse Hendricks Bluford of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Nevaeh Hurston of Fort Smith, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Breona (Jay) Strickland of Fort Smith, Arkansas; Daemeion Bluford and fiance Erica Stout of Fort Smith, Arkansas; one great-grandson, Layden Strickland of Fort Smith, Arkansas and a host of other relatives and friends. We will forever remember her smiling, laughing, and her back rubs.
Celebration of life service will be held Wednesday, May 3, 2023, 11:00am at New Hope Cemetery, Pocola, Oklahoma.
Committal service and final resting place will be at New Hope Cemetery, Pocola, Oklahoma.
