In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Toran Family. Clarence's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Clarence Toran.

Clarence Toran, 98, was born June 5, 1927; in Van Buren, Arkansas, to the late Charley Toran and Luticia Reese Toran. He departed this life on July 4, 2025, in Van Buren, Arkansas.
He attended Douglas School in Van Buren. He served in both the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army. He was employed with the Federal Compress and Warehouse, where he retired after thirty-three (33) years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three (3) brothers: Charley Jr., Cleo and William Toran and one (1) sister: Lucy Jane Toran. Three (3) children: Lawrence Toran, Sr., Steve Toran and Deborah Harris. Along with four (4) grandchildren.
Clarence leaves to cherish his memory: Six (6) Sons: Jerry Perry of Arlington, Texas; Phil Perry of Van Buren, Arkansas; Clarence Toran of Goldsboro, North Carolina; Donald Toran; Paul Toran (Earnestine), and Eric Toran, all of Fort Smith, Arkansas. Six (6) daughters: Clara Davis of Kansas City, Missouri; Dianne Johnson of Van Buren, Arkansas; Shirley Carter of Fort Smith, Arkansas; Janette Johnson of Van Buren, Arkansas; Stephanie Elaine Henry of Grapevine, Texas and Kim McKinley of Mansfield, Texas. Twenty-nine (29) Grandchildren, fifty-two (52) Great-grandchildren and thirty (30) Great-great grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
Walk through visitation for family and friends will be Thursday July 24, 2025, 10:00am to 7:00pm (family hour 5:00-7:00pm) Rowell-Parish Mortuary Chapel 611 North 9th St., Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901.
Celebration of life service will be Friday July 25, 2025; 11:00am New Covenant International Christian Center 4400 North "N" Street Fort Smith, Arkansas 72904.
Committal and final resting place will be Fort Smith National Cemetery 522 Garland Ave., Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901.
