In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Kelley Family. Dorsey's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Dorsey Kelley.

Dorsey Mae Kelley was born on September 29, 1959, in Cotton Plant, Arkansas, to Moses Kelley, Jr., and Hattie B. Kelley, both of whom preceded her in death. She passed away on January 30, 2026, leaving behind a life defined by love, faith, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. 


A proud native of Cotton Plant, Dorsey graduated from Cotton Plant High School, Class of 1977. She continued her education at Arkansas State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting in 1981. After college, she moved to Chicago, Illinois, where she began the next chapter of her life. Later, she returned to Arkansas and made her home in Conway, Arkansas. 


Dorsey was a faithful member of Ash Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Cotton Plant, where her faith shaped her character and guided her life. She lived her beliefs through kindness, humility, and service to others. While living in Chicago, Dorsey was a devoted member of Trinity Church of Christ. After moving to Conway, she continued her walk of faith as a devoted member of Ebenezer Christian Church. Her faith guided her life and was reflected in her humbleness, humanitarianism, and compassion for others. 


Lovingly remembered, Dorsey was known for her gentle spirit, steady presence, and caring heart. Family was always at the center of her life, and she found her greatest joy in loving, supporting, and caring for those closest to her. 


She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Jerry Kelley and Timothy Kelley, and her sister, Patricia Kelley. 


She is survived by her beloved son, Kevin Kelley; her sister, Jacqueline Holmes (William); and her brothers, Melvin Kelley, Moses Kelley, III, MD, Naaman Kelley (Tamara), Steven Kelley, MD (Danielle), Perry Kelley (Francine), and John Kelley (Michele). Also, she leaves behind her nieces and nephews, many extended family members, church family, and friends who will forever cherish her memory. 


Dorsey Mae Kelley will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, in Cotton Plant, Chicago, Conway, and beyond. Her life was a testament to love freely given, faith faithfully lived, and family deeply cherished. 


Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at Christ Temple Holiness, 868 Willow St, Conway, Arkansas 72032


Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, February 14, 2026, 10:00am at Christ Temple Holiness, 868 Willow St, Conway, Arkansas 72032.


Committal service and final resting place will be held, at Robinson Cemetery, Conway, Arkansas.
