Joe’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. Joe McKinley Jones.

Joe McKinley Jones was a blessing given from God on Friday, February 23, 1940 to the late Joe Edward and Drusilla (Handcock) Jones in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. He was also called by God to take his eternal rest on Saturday, December 24, 2022 from Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was also preceded in death by one of his nine children: Regina Ann Jones; his siblings: Curtis Jones, Kenneth Jones, James Jones, Larry Jones, Ruth Newton, Freda Holmes, Charles Jones and LeRoy Jones.
Joe accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior, and he united with Greater New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He attended Pawhuska High School in Pawhuska, Oklahoma.
Joe leaves to cherish his precious memories by eight of his nine children: Joe Jones, Jr., Karen Jones, Scott Young, Antonio Jones, Shawn Jones, Paul Jones, Karla Auguste, Kolette Jones; his brother: Merlon Jones of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his sister: Annie Jones-Samuels of Kansas City, Missouri and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Walk-through visitation will be Friday, December 30, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Rowell-Parish Mortuary 611 North 9th Street Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901.
