Joseph's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Joseph Dickerson.

Joseph Collins Dickerson was born on December 14, 1961 in Chicago, Illinois at the Cook County Hospital. He was given up for adoption and entered into the foster care system. He did not stay very long. He was adopted at three weeks old by Carrie and Cttrill Dickerson. He started school in Chicago and finished in New Orleans, Louisiana graduating in 1980. He later that year, along with his parents, moved to Conway, Arkansas. Joe worked for a few temp agencies before becoming a full-time caregiver for his mother and father until they passed away in 1986 and 1997. Shortly after, Joe moved to Russellville, Arkansas and began working at Tyson for a number of years until becoming disabled. While in Russellville, Joe confessed his faith, met and married his wife of more than twenty years, Mary. Joe was a faithful caregiver to his wife until he passed.
Joe left this life on November 20, 2023. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Mary; brothers Gene (Karen) Dickerson, Kenneth Dickerson; a very dear niece Courtnee; a dear nephew Wayne Dickerson; step children, Larry Hill, Jr., Christopher Hill, Krystal Hill, Talitha Hill; grandchildren, Larry Hill, III, Kain Hill, Kennedy Hill, Antwan Jones, Courtney Ray, Kiera Ray, Maranda Moreland, Kevin Rooks, Miracle Rooks, and a host of relatives and friends.
Celebration of life service will be held Friday, December 1, 2023, 2:00pm at Veasley Funeral Home.
Committal service and final resting place will be held at Sinai Cemetery, Conway, Arkansas.
