Keith's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Keith Bernard Whitfield.

Keith Bernard Whitfield of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away on May 26, 2025. He was 59 years old.
Keith is survived by his companion, Glynis Louise Parks of Fort Smith, Arkansas, a daughter, Keesha Louise Kursh (Cleavon), a son Markell Bernard Whitfield both of Fort Smith, Arkansas. He is also survived by his mother Charlene Whitfield of Fort Smith, Arkansas; a brother Ozzie Whitfield Jr. of Fort Smith Arkansas, a sister Vadine Kinnard of Fort Smith, Arkansas. His seven (7) grandchildren; Dallas Nicole Garner (Luther), Keyshon O Kursh, Cleavon Dewayne Kursh Jr, Ziarah Louise Kursh, L’easla Whitfield, Journee Louise Whitfield, Myreanna Louise Whitfield. Four (4) great-grandchildren; Kacey Louise Oglesby, A’Karii Zyari Kursh, O’marri Kursh, and Jah’Kari Kursh.
He was preceded in death by his son, Myreon Lamar Whitfield of Fort Smith, Arkansas, his father Ozzie Whitfield Sr, and a brother Chad Whitfield both of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Keith was born on November 29, 1965, in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Ozzie and Charlene Whitfield. He accepted Jesus at an early age and was baptized at Saint James Missionary Baptist church by the late Pastor J.M. Oliver.
Keith attended St. Boniface Catholic Elementary School. After completing elementary school, he attended Kimmons Junior High where he played basketball for the Raiders. Moving from Kimmons to Northside High, Keith continued to play his beloved basketball as a Northside Grizzly. Graduating from Northside High, Keith worked in the public sector for many years.
Keith will be remembered for his love of basketball, playing dominos, and most of all his love for his children and grandchildren.
Walk through visitation for family and friends will be Thursday June 12, 2025; 9:30am - 5:00pm Rowell-Parish Chapel 611 North 9th St., Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901.
Celebration of life service will be Friday June 13, 2025; 11:00am New Covenant International Christian Center 4400 No. "N" St., Fort Smith, Arkansas 72904.
Committal and final resting place: Oak Cemetery 1401 S. Greenwood Ave., Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901.
