Luereatha’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Ms. Luereatha Holloway.

Luereatha Holloway, at the age of 69, passed away peacefully at Conway Regional Health Systems in Conway, Arkansas, from this life in the early morning hours of July 11th after an aggressive decline in health. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family and caregivers (doctors, nurses and Hospice Home Care) during the last days and hours of her life. Luereatha was born in Des Arc, Arkansas, where she lived all of her life. She attended, played basketball during high school three years, track two years, FHA two years, and “What-Nots” one year, graduating in 1972. After graduation, she was employed throughout her life until her retirement in 2014. Luereatha enjoyed watching basketball, football, and the Food Network channel. Luereatha was preceded in death by both parents, Roscoe Polite and Carrie Lee Polite, and a brother, Roy Lee Gray. Luereatha is survived by her three children, Syretta Holloway of Des Arc, Arkansas, Bryant Holloway of Greenbrier, Arkansas, Ashley Holloway of Batesville, Arkansas; one brother, Nathaniel Polite of Gravel Ridge, Arkansas; 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Public visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, July 18, 2022 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 209 E Claire St., Des Arc, Arkansas. Celebration of life service will be held Monday, July 18, 2022, 11:00am at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 209 E Claire St., Des Arc, Arkansas. Committal service and final resting place will be held at Lakeside Cemetery, Des Arc, Arkansas.
