Nickolas Benard Jones was born on July 29, 1979, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Eric Curtis Jones and Anna Jo Jones. He departed his earthly journey in his hometown on August 7, 2025, at the age of 46. Nickolas accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age, under the Leadership and Pastorate of the late Reverend G.L. Hinkle, Sr.

Nickolas lived a life defined by curiosity, passion, and an unshakeable sense of adventure.  A world traveler, adventurist, and world-class debater; he embraced life with open arms, always seeking new experiences and engaging conversations that challenged perspectives that inspired others.

His formative years were shaped by Leadership and Service, beginning at Saint James Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Smith, JROTC, the Jr. Police Academy and the marching bands at both Kimmons Jr. High and Northside High School. In Fort Smith, Arkansas.  Nickolas went on to earn a degree in Computer Science from The DeVry Technical Institute and an Associate of Arts in Business Fundamentals from the University of Phoenix.  His intellect, combined with his love for exploration, made him a remarkable blend of Scholar, Traveler, and Storyteller.

Nickolas’ legacy is one of boldness, kindness, and endless curiosity.  His presence filled every room he entered, and his laughter will echo in the hearts of those who loved him.  While his journey on this earth has ended, his spirit will continue to inspire all who had the privilege to know him.

Nick was proceeded in death by his paternal grandfather: Harry Lee Jones and Beatrice Knight. His maternal grandparents: Felix Lee May, Sr., and Lucky Juanita May all from Fort Smith, Arkansas.
